The Vessel

a space where your story becomes a map, a mirror, and a guide for change.
You are a vessel—worthy of tending.

Welcome to Tending the Vessel—

Beneath the surface of your narrative, we tend to your inner architecture and begin to rewrite your story through the art of tending.

I’m Brenda — a narrative-led guide with a heart-centered, responsible practice, grounded in lived experience of what it costs to keep old internal narratives alive long after they’ve stopped serving. This is where narrative craft turns inward, helping you reclaim emotional and energetic capacity so the stories you keep are the ones that genuinely sustain you.

I built this practice because I needed it first. It taught me that the beauty of tending isn’t how steady a life looks from the outside, but in the inner connectedness that allows your life force to move with more resonance, care, and intention.

I’m glad you’re here. Let’s tend.

Why this work exists

My design experience treats story the way an architect treats structure — using a why‑behind‑the‑why framework to trace patterns, shape narratives, and find purpose beneath the polished facade.

Dissecting narratives, tracing origin stories, and shaping how brands speak to the world is meaningful work, but most of it serves the business. Many of us end up holding two sets of narratives at once: the corporate or collective story we’re asked to perform, and our own private, tangled narratives about worth, safety, and success.

The world is doing narrative work on us all the time, yet very few spaces help us do that work for ourselves. I built Tending the Vessel because questions of worth, safety, and “enough” are no longer abstract— we’ve been trained to overperform on the surface while something deeper keeps asking to be seen.

This is a space where that why‑behind‑the‑why narrative care finally turns inward — toward your own story, your own body, and the next chapter you actually want to live. It’s a place to tend your inner architecture with more honesty and less performance, so you can rewrite your story the way you want it to read.

The Threshold

You may be at the threshold if:

  • You’re high-functioning on paper and strangely absent in your own body — your resilience looks more like dissociation.

  • You’re caught in a push-pull: craving work and relationships that do not require abandoning yourself, yet defaulting to over-giving and under-receiving.

  • You can feel the cost in your body—anxious mornings, wired nights, a nervous system that’s done pretending this pace is normal.

You’ve reached the thresholdstep inside.

Most people who land here are holding a life together on the outside while something deeper keeps asking to be seen. Crossing this threshold inside Tending the Vessel means giving yourself permission to rewrite your story and stop outsourcing your inner genius to systems that drain your life force.

These are only glimpses of how this season might be showing up in your life. Explore narrative archetypes to find the story-patterns that feel familiar and name what’s asking to change.

Inner Architecture

Underneath your roles, obligations, and performance lives an inner architecture that quietly shapes how you move through life. When that structure is built on old survival patterns or inherited expectations, even a seemingly functional life can start to feel costly to sustain.
This work helps you notice what’s shaping you beneath the surface, so you can begin to rebuild from a place that feels more supportive and alive.

  • Detachment mantras can offer brief relief, but they don’t always show you your role in the exchange or why you keep ending up in the same dynamic. Without that clarity, you let go for a moment and then find yourself in the same story again — just in a different form.

  • Self-awareness is a quiet secret weapon. Once you start practicing it, it becomes a superpower in your next chapter — the capacity to see your inner architecture clearly enough to recognize the pattern before you repeat it.

  • Your shadows aren’t flaws to fix; they’re parts you were taught to hide — data points your résumé will never show. Sensitivity, rage, over-giving, and “too muchness” sit on your inner board of archetypal directors. You can ignore them, but when integrated, they become untapped power and some of your strongest allies in how you move, negotiate, and lead.

  • Workforce — what about your life force? Well-intentioned strategies often fail because they don’t account for the emotional undercurrents no one names. That’s where real change begins. When you start to peel back the layers, you see how your inner life force is interconnected — or painfully disconnected — from the larger intellectual, spiritual, psychological, and political ecosystem of change.
